The redevelopment of Brady Hall at Reservoir High School involved refurbishing the old school hall into an outstanding Performing Arts Hub. The end of the old hall was removed and replaced with a tiered seating area and undercroft gymnasium, and a new adjoining extension was added to provide a public entrance. The internal functionality of the building has also been greatly improved through intelligent linking and co-location of spaces.
Facilities include a new main entrance foyer with integrated kiosk, a new 300 seat theatre and a large stage which connects via an operable wall to a drama and dance space behind. A second foyer to the school side doubles as an additional teaching space. Special attention has been paid to the acoustics of the space, and the provision of a state-of-the-art audiovisual and theatre lighting system.
The school are thrilled with the cost effectiveness, functionality and quality of their new Performing Arts Hub.
