The new residential construction, which is located in the Quarter of Gundeldingen, has to move obligatory at the building line for a clear front of the street in accordance with the existing block, on whom the immediate neighbour house still stands back clearly. This displacement takes the architect up by means of a risalit, which is permitted by law, folds it over the entire building height, that takes place a mediation between the different pure façade alignments. Horizontally subdivided fields of the façade, which refer to the three realised concreting stages, create roadside stacking of the two different living typologies (maisonette flats and apartments), which are marked by differently dimensioned and bent balconies. Access cores and sanitary units structure the ground plan. Slide doors and wallpapered doors that open up the space make in the depth the room possible, which is flowing through between the side of the road and the back of the building.
