The Remembrance Bench
is a reflection of the Coral Gables Museum’s mission to celebrate, investigate
and explore the civic arts of architecture, urban and environmental
design. The proposed materials and their
integration in the design are the representation of the museum’s history as a building
that experienced a transition from a former Police/Fire Station. The bench aims to exemplify a transitional
design approach in which the materials are unified to create a language that
communicates about transition connection and purpose.
