In the new hotel on Plaza de San Mateo, Cáceres, contemporary architecture coexist with an historic setting respectfuly. The new building contains two complementary activities: the new Atrio restaurant and a small Relais-Châteaux hotel with just fourteen rooms. The hotel reception, restaurant and kitchen areas are on the ground floor. All the guest rooms are on the upper floor. The new functional organism adapts to the irregular perimeter of the existing buildings, manifesting itself outwardly by weaving a tapestry of slender white concrete columns.
