The rehabilitation project of the Pierre Antoine stadium proposes to increase its capacity to 12,000 seats. The objective is to give the sports equipment services, comfort and aesthetics of a major stadium, able to host competitions of top level rugby. In order not to disrupt the running during the restructuring, our project is based on a phased transformation in order to maintain the capacity and the structure of north and south tiers.Existing tiers are the starting point of the architecture of the new roof, which opens and unfolds gradually over future main tiers. This coverage, recalling in particular the emblem of the city, serves as a light diffuser field side to decrease shadows on the playground. Cover movement reveals the stadium entrances at the corners and create a urban signal, visible from a wide perimeter.Structure, conceived as a freestanding arch prevents support points along streets. This feature allows new tiers to offer reception areas and open perambulation, bright and double orientation, on the city and on the playground, despite urban constraints.
