REGUS Dai Nagoya is located on the 25th floor of Dai Nagoya Building, in front of Nagoya Station. As the city's symbol, the building has been loved as the face of Nagoya for decades but closed down in 2013 for renovation. It has given rise to a total of over 33,000 square meters of large customer facilities with 4 basements and 34 floors, allowing for the residents of the Nagoya/Tokai region to enjoy shopping and dining at "high quality," "trendy" stores and to "work," "live," and "rest". The client wants to create the dynamic and modern workplace with traditional inspiration.
D&P was asked to refurbish the rectangle area of 1032 sqm. The space included a series of different working environments, from the open spaces including the reception and communal work tables in the centre of rectangle area, to more secluded glass meeting room and private office rooms dedicated for one person or a team of co-workers in the two sides of this area. The co-working space was naturally divided without using free-standing walls to maximize the natural lighting through the space.
