The project is centered around rejuvenating the Regensburg neighborhood through sustainable urban development strategies. These initiatives involve promoting biking and walking by replacing car parks with bike and scooter stations, preserving ecological zones to safeguard habitats, and redesigning streets to incorporate more green spaces. Additionally, the project aims to establish a vibrant community hub by implementing pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, involving the community in decision-making processes, and fostering intercultural and intergenerational exchange within building blocks. Sustainable energy solutions, passive design elements, and the renovation of existing buildings are also integral to the neighborhood's revitalization, with the ultimate goal of creating a lively, resilient, and inclusive urban environment.
