BRR worked closely with Mission Peak Capital on the redevelopment of Regency Park, a 202,000-square-foot shopping center, which included significant renovations to the existing buildings that make up the center and the design of an additional 5,000-square-foot building. The renovations included demolition of existing facades and recladding of the buildings with modern materials and a contemporary color palate.
The new facade materials include tile, brick, new glazing, wood and metal accents and sophisticated lighting. The design features back-lit clerestory glazing along the roofline, prominent entry towers, stylish awnings, new parapets and a partially-replaced roof system. Ultimately, the project team worked to produce an appealing and modern design which reflects the renaissance occurring along this high-traffic corridor of suburban Kansas City.
