Red Pif Anděl - restaurant garden

STATUS
Built
YEAR
2023
In principle, this is actually the enclosure of the "brewery" awning, which was allowed on the site in previous years. The base of the awning is hidden under the deck of the garden and the necessary load/weight is replaced by the mass of the wooden structure. This is made up of laths folded in a similar logic as in the interior of the restaurant, which the garden serves, i.e. as a stylized analogy of timbering, made of colorless impregnated softwood laths (pine, spruce) with profiles of 50 × 50/75/100 and 125 mm, folded in the selected rhythm and with gaps of the same modulation.

In its basic form, the archetypally conceived shape fills this structure unevenly, organically thickens or, on the contrary, loosens in a logic that intertwines the need to define the space of the garden in relation to the surroundings with the need to screen it or, on the contrary, make it accessible in certain parts.

The entire assembly is made of pre-prepared parts so that it can be easily disassembled (this is a seasonal installation for the months of April-October), the parts are anchored on site to a platform that can also be disassembled, consisting of a grate made of wooden prisms and a flap made of boards. The reinforcement of the structure is then carried out in the center of the floor plan in the form of an "edge" made of battens, in accordance with the specified profile.

The furniture/furniture is exclusively light, it is metal chairs and tables in dark green, combined with a dark gray base (again, ditto the interior of the restaurant).
