This house, situated in an area of former allotments, is formed by an irregular L shape on a rectangular site that closes the construction from the street and opens it into the garden, creating a private space. This intimacy is multiplied by the layout of the interior, which is divided into smaller sections. There is a zone for children’s bedrooms, a shared area with a kitchen, dining room, and living room, a zone for parents, and a service zone. All residential rooms have access to the garden. The house is low-energy powered with an intelligent installation that can control the light and temperature in each room separately. The construction on one level has an unusual combination of roof shapes, the slopes of which refer to the rural history of the area. In the frontal part, where the two sides of the house meet, the roof rises up and creates a skylight, which brings in sufficient daylight. There is also a deeply recessed main entrance and study room. The cut out parts create a parking space for visitors, where a work meeting can be performed without interrupting the privacy of other family members. The outer line of the house, with the area of the entrance, study, and garage connection, is the place of creative ideas. The inner line, with the center of the house, where the divided glass parts of the rooms surround the wooden patio and garden, is a well-tested solution without risk.
