The new "forum one" combines the original composition concept of the Viennese town-hall quarter with the urbanistic and functional requirements of a contemporary office and retail building.
Distinguishing the advantages of location, we establish a metropolitan, livable and sustainable environment.
Our design is determined by
- the transformation of the urban pattern though maintaining the line of sight to St. Steven's Cathedral,
- developing the building structure on the basis of angles and lines of the surrounding urban pattern,
- improving daylight exposure of adjacent buildings,
- forming a covered forecourt and shaping a "floating", open ground-floor to revitalize the square adjacent to "Rathausstraße" and raise the stream of visitors,
- a characteristic and changing facade that is responding to the different light atmospheres and viewing angles,
- an economically advantageous construction system and maximizing daylight incidence by cutouts in the building volume.
