For as long as we can remember, homes have been designed around fixed daily routines, creating familiar pathways that often come at the expense of space. Traditional living rooms, dining areas, and reception rooms frequently compartmentalize domestic life. In this extraordinary project, we sought to break free from these conventions, liberating a reception area on the ground floor with unparalleled generosity: 18 meters in length and 12 meters in width.
We envisioned this space as a vast embrace, a single grand living room and a majestic dining area. This way, the inhabitants can fully enjoy their home, without any forgotten corners, redefining their lifestyle in a constant harmony, whether they are alone or with guests.
The true challenge lay in mastering the proportions, as each element was beyond the standard norms. We wanted the inhabitants to feel enveloped, not overwhelmed by the vastness. Imagine a sofa nearly 9 meters long and a dining table stretching 5 meters, embracing shared moments of life.
A second guiding principle was to blend the exterior with the interior, erasing boundaries. The minimalist aluminum sliding doors vanish, revealing a 12-meter bay, dissolving the lines between inside and outside. The chosen materials tell a story of elegance and exoticism: noble wood, raw concrete, and volcanic stone compose this living tableau. The floor, neutral and calming, is clad in Italian ceramic tiles, 3.40 by 1.20 meters, in matte ivory, providing refined sobriety.
The living space extends with a massive wooden island, an invitation to cook facing the guests, while the kitchen, hidden behind a large wooden sliding door, allows for privacy during preparation moments. Behind this door, a parallel pathway and service areas ensure perfect discretion.
Upstairs, three luxurious suites continue this quest for harmony, each pathway designed to facilitate the daily lives of the inhabitants.
