Radius Residence is a contemporary house in Los Angeles that explores the expressive potential of curvature in residential architecture. The home is composed of two curved L-shaped volumes, inverted and stacked to form a balanced two-story composition.
Here, curvature is not applied as a surface treatment but integrated into the structure itself, shaping both the exterior form and interior experience. The curved walls organize space, define circulation, and soften transitions, creating a sense of movement and establishing a distinctive architectural language. Light and shadow travel along these surfaces throughout the day, emphasizing the house’s geometric rhythm and calm presence.
The “curved corner” language extends throughout the project — from the main residence to the detached guest house — unifying the site through a shared architectural vocabulary. Together, these elements form a quiet coherence between structures while reinforcing the project’s underlying concept.
Radius Residence represents a study in restraint: a contemporary curved house where geometry and structure align to create a simple yet nuanced spatial experience.
