Radio and Television production centre1st Prize in Competition. The aim of the competition was to create a building that looked out onto the city and was as environmentally friendly as possible. The building twists and turns, entering into a dialogue with the natural profile of the land, which is set against the strict geometry of its interior where all of the rooms are arranged around a central courtyard. The light diffuses as it enters the roof of the courtyard, passing through a lightweight mesh screen, flooding and giving definition to the space in the entrance hall. The reflected light that shines in through the huge oculus that overlooks the city can almost be seen from the entrance, creating an appeling effect that invites you to venture in.
