This is a house in Singapore, on a very long, narrow plot. As with many such houses, the oddly shaped lot forces a kind of accidental, but interesting typology. In order to organize program and to bring in light, the single house becomes a miniaturized skyline--in effect, multiple small houses agglomerate, side by side. In this case, the particular solar condition of the house let to a kind of localized "chain mail", a heating coil to harness solar gain to produce warm water. This cladding drapes across the aggregated house-forms, unifying them.
