Radial - Hemostatic Device

Turin, Italy

STATUS
Built
YEAR
2012
Radial is a device for medical use developed to control bleeding from the radial artery after cardiac catheterization or angioplasty. It replaces the exhaustive method of manual compression, task that takes at least thirty minutes and produces muscle fatigue in the arm of the health professional.

It presents differentials, like the simplicity of its use, possibility of measuring the degree of compression and visualization of small bleedings. It is the first hemostatic device that can be reprocessed and reused, due to being completely removable (making the mechanical cleaning easier) and for using materials compatible with the sterilization process, a fact that impacts on ecology and economic advantage over competitor.
