This community center was thought to fold off of the subway tracks above. The building uses two systems, one of heavy steel for structure and the other of light steel inset 8' from the outside one. Inbetween staircases are suspended to each floor. The program here are classrooms, theaters and public space.
The overall concept was to create an open building during the day providing an alternate public path through the builiding, with emphasis on the steel structures.
