a new contemporary residence in a heritage suburb of Sydney. The built form takes cues from the height, bulk, scale + materials of adjacent sandstone workers cottages.  This allows the modern, the minimal white form, to successfully compliment + enhance the existing streetscape.  The privacy issues of a tight street are resolved through integrated screening + landscaping.  Screening also provides solar control + privacy to the rear. White continues internally to maximise light + form the kitchen space. Glazing is maximised + a double height void further enhance light + ventilation.
