Quasar Estetik International designed by AAD Architects started with the dream of a surgical medical center. It is the first health facility of approximately 6000 square meters where all aesthetic operations and applications are made. Quasar Estetik International is a hospital-like space design and application story that includes many functions such as offices, practice rooms, doctor rooms, patient service rooms, etc.
Quasar Estetik International started with a great innovative approach and excitement. It would tell a great story of renewal and rebirth. When AAD Architects started planning, they prepared function diagrams at first and the resulting diagrams guided them and designers wrapped them with their story. Because Quasar Estetik International would tell about the day a fetus was born in the womb. It was a kind of spiritual gateway to a second chance at renewal that gave humans in the world. The fact that this rebirth was gifted to humanity as a great wealth with science and art was also considered as the fruits of our story.
For centuries, humanity have witnessed that people have improved their quality of life by developing and changing thanks to science and art. The horizons opened to the reborn human being, integrating the spiritual richness created by art with the realistic perspective of science.
While AAD Architects were starting the planning, they described the womb form in theirs story planning, which is the reproductive organ of the woman, the corridor channels leading to the ovaries, which are scattered from a central area and separated from the right and left. The practice rooms, doctor rooms, service rooms, toilets and all the other areas entered from the corridors also hold onto this channel. People leave the rooms completely changed, renewed and meeting themselves once again. For this reason, the door of each room was designed in a completely unique way.
A separate design for a scientist and an artist was made on all doors. Information about themselves and the point where they touched life were mentioned. Thus, people met with science and art in the canals of the mother's womb. They were surprised, they thought and they learned. The medical center has turned into a gallery. AAD Architects carried out a special work with our painters in the operating rooms. This was a new experience for all of AAD Architects’ designers. The team had a great surprise under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The aesthetic figures of the human on the operating room walls offered an unusual experience.
Medical centers and hospitals are places that can be opened after a very serious technical inspection by the Ministry of Health. Architectural, civil, mechanical and electrical infrastructure must be in full compliance with the rules. 100 percent project compliance is sought and inspected one-to-one on site. For example, according to the regulation, doctor's rooms must be a minimum of 16 square meters. The 15.7 square meters room is demolished during the inspection. Of course, it was not easy to turn our design into reality within such strict rules. The whole team became a whole and AAD Architects completed the project with a serious effort.
AAD Architects Founder Ayşegül Güner thinks that the greatest reward of the architectural profession is to witness the people living in this story, in this created space. The place which can serve people both spiritually and functionally has great importance.
Architect Ayşegül Güner thinks that If they would have a chance to give this project a name, it would be “The Dance of Rebirth”. Many people came together with people of science and art that they had only heard of. They come out of their mother's womb completely renewed and changed.
The difficulties experienced in the implementation phase of the architectural design, adapting the materials to the design and of course acting within the right budget were an important responsibility towards the employer.
Wood, metal, marble and corian materials were used in Quasar Estetik International. The materials were made to dance with each other. In an unexpected place, an unexpected material met the patients. One of them was epoxy. The effect of dispersed sperm with brush strokes was achieved by using epoxy in a unique way on the ladder. When someone continue towards the elevators, metal spider sculptures that weave a web of life on the walls welcomed the guests. The doors opened to one practice room with Sinan the Architect, another with Madame Coco Chanel, and another with Davinci. It was tried to achieve a project integrity with a separate piece that completes the story in each corner.
AAD Architects have been working on this project for months. Therefore, they say that miss the project, the place and their employers so much. It takes place in such intense and close contact that when it comes to design, it is as if a part of designers’ lives is missing at the end of Quasar Estetik International. The whole team feel the same way.
