Quarry House is a sculptural residence perched on the cliffs of British Columbia’s Sea to Sky coastline. Composed of three cantilevered volumes clad in mirrored black glass, the home reflects its dramatic surroundings while asserting a bold architectural presence. Inside, a generous great room, three bedrooms, private gym, sauna, and custom infinity pool are all oriented to frame panoramic ocean views through floor-to-ceiling glazing.
The material palette contrasts rugged and refined: railway tie board-formed concrete, slatted wood ceilings, and reused timbers from the site add texture and warmth. Sustainable features, solar panels, geothermal heating and cooling, and grey water retention, are seamlessly integrated.
With its dynamic form and minimal footprint, Quarry House is both grounded in the landscape and suspended above it, an immersive response to place that combines luxury, restraint, and environmental sensitivity.
