Q-LAB is a design firm which investigates urban condition with in-depth research and provides services in architecture design, interior design, landscape design, lighting design, furniture design, graphic design and industrial design. The goal of the office was to re-define the given or the ordinary with a new perspective which would engage the public with a new sense of experience.
The Q-LAB office was set up in open layout where designers from different departments can sit in close adjacency to encourage exchange of ideas through multi-disciplinary discussions. The floor plan was organized with a central open office area with principals rooms on one side, library and kitchen on the other, and a large conference connecting directly with the central office area. All the rooms on all sides were cladded in glass to provide full transparency so that everyone is constantly aware of events and functions taking place on daily basis.
In conclusion, Q-LAB office is a place in which celebrates creativity and multi-disciplinary collaboration among all the designers. The design of the office reflects the manifesto of the culture and spirit of the company in a three-dimensional spectrum of spaces.
