A building that fulfills the expectations of tomorrow
Cities are changing constantly and one-way solutions are not implementable anymore: Q 6 Q 7, a modern urban quarter in Mannheim, Germany is taking up the challenge to represent the city of tomorrow.
A façade that speaks for itself
How do we want to persuade people to visit our building?
The first step is an impressive façade: Stone structure and glass create an impression of solidity and transparency – waking curiosity without revealing too much of the building’s insides.
What initially appeared to be segments can turn into a complete picture.
communication is key
All areas are clearly indicated – business, living, retail and leisure activities. Despite of that, all parts of the building manage to communicate with each other, thus ensuring vividness and comfort.
All people, no matter the destination they have, are welcome in this urban quarter. A building that offers so many different possibilities can surely be used as a definition of the city of tomorrow.
Flexibility in every corner
Through a passage shaped like a horseshoe, the visitors can stroll through the building and are persuaded to discover more. In Q 6 Q 7 the view is open – oval recesses in the ceiling give people the possibility to catch a glimpse of what is awaiting them in the upper floor.
