The Jewel of Moscow
It is often said that a thing of beauty is a joy forever. But do we still know what true beauty is? In this dynamically changing era where we can create almost anything we can imagine, are we still able to recognize beauty when it’s right in front of us?
The answer is yes. We believe that the original Pushkinsky Cinema is a thing of true beauty – a building that stands not only for Russian cinema, but also for the beliefs of the Soviet-era.
We don’t want to touch any of that. Instead, we’d like to preserve that legacy while enhancing the theater’s original beauty and values.
The Jewelry Box
Our idea is to place the original Pushkinsky in a “jewelry box” – one that will send a clear message not to touch this cinema ever again! This box will create a secondary space around the original facade, which will connect Pushkinsky Square to the theater. By making use of the latest technologies, we’ll make this a place where people can share, communicate, meet and stay.
