YEAR
2013
PUMA’s first kiosk program is based on a kit of parts with deployable dimensions, colors and merchandise display features to be assembled in shopping malls around the globe. Most of the fixtures are dual purpose (ie: grid-like ceiling feature, corner piers and ladder display) making the most of the small footprint and introducing a new level of shopability and convenience in locations where PUMA would otherwise not have a presence. The pop up is a product-forward environment showcasing footwear and apparel in an iconic rectilinear form. Rather than a circular display, an L-shaped layout establishes a wayfinding flow similar to a regular store experience with just two entrances, adding security for one employee to operate. Despite a small footprint, an empowering sense of space is established with graphics printed on dual-purpose doors that provide clear brand recognition either opened or securely locked around the perimeter. To avoid a kiosk overflowing with product, a smart balance of merchandise density was integrated placing dense footwear boxes below 48 inches, and hanging lighter apparel from the ceiling or on wall shelves backed by plexiglass. PUMA Pads are entirely customizable to fit its host location. For example, modular fixtures allow for flexibility and practical installation from an operational perspective, as the pop up can be quickly assembled without professional contractors. Purposeful pieces were also created for everything from hidden storage options to appealing merchandise displays. These versatile pieces are scalable with convertible, reusable and mass-producible materials (ie: a red, perforated steel band holds the unit together, wrapping around the corner of the kiosk, leading to a grid-like ceiling system that doubles as product display). Lastly, magnetic signage allows for the ease of transition
throughout the year for seasonal promotions, as well as the ability to re-use at other locations as needed
