The design of the school building is very compact. This made the building construction inexpensive, yet allowed for a large multipurpose space to be included in the design. This space is considered to be the centre of the school and it can be used as a covered yard during cold or rainy days. It also allows for students from different classes to work together in activities such as workshops and physical education; and for meetings with the whole educational community. It was decided that the ground floor of the school would house the spaces that are seen to enable interaction amongst the children from different classes and the wider community. The majority of the classrooms were placed on the upper floors.  The ground floor space is continuous and fluid, though it is not a neutral one. This floor plays with subtly slopes and height differences to create a variety of places within this environment. It becomes a continuous space with a variety of shapes and scales in it. The entrance to the ground floor is through the hall, followed by the multipurpose space and then the dining room. These places, along with the administration sector and two classrooms, are all connected with ramps, which make the ground floor a flexible and integrated environment.
