In collaboration with the New York City School Construction Authority, this project was accomplished in which extensive masonry work and waterproofing was performed. The goal of the project was to stop and find the source of water infiltrating into the building. This building which sits on piles is located in an area in Brooklyn which is known to be landfill. A rain-out would cause the Basement to accumulate 12-24 inches of water throughout. Injection waterprofing was used on the foundation walls and concrete slab throughout the Basement and 100% masonry repointing was performed. Also the windows were source of water infiltration which meant major repairs to be performed throughout the school building.
