The family housing project is located in a residential area within the extended scope of Hue City, which is a place where there is an intersection of urban and rural life.
With an exterior that is ready to accept the changes of the urbanization process, but still retains the simplicity of construction habits and local materials, and the way of treating the façade affected by direct sunlight with large rough walls and solid brick construction, making the project separate but at the same time close to the pot the atmosphere of the context.
Because it is often flooded, the ground floor is designed to be convenient for relocating furniture. The internal function has transitions thanks to floor height deviations to shorten the continuous steps. The common space with a prominent Capsule box block is in the middle of the transparent space. Initially, the 1.6x2.4m Capsule Block appeared for living with small children near their parents until they were 11 years old before living in a private room, at that stage, the Capsule was removed to return the area for the reorganization of the functions connecting the living room - dining room + kitchen.
This design values the journey of space experience. Different developments of architecture and lighting are open throughout the stair paths and corridors.
With this project, we want to express new ideas in space configuration in a local context.
