In the heart of the Meatpacking District, beyond an iron fence, and through a darkened entry is Provocateur - a space where 18th century gardens and drawing rooms meets 21st century sound studios and ultra lounges, creating an intoxicating stage set for New York nightlife. The space is divided into two areas – an outdoor garden lounge and a high-energy nightclub. Dramatic dollhouse inspired entry drapery opens up to a whimsical picturesque center garden with tall birch trees, hanging iron bird cages, candle holders, stone carved statues, hanging swings and benches filled with romantic multicolored floral fabric. Private staged “rooms” surround each table creating unique surreal scenes that deviate from reality exuding an oddly playful, sexy, naughty quality where the guests in the club bring the sets to life as if they are a part of a photo shoot. Through the garden lounge is a house-music nightclub where femininity meets dominatrix. Custom metal wings hover over the main bar providing the perfect backdrop for catwalk dancers. The space is filled with elegant lavender hues with a touch of gold.
