The brief for the main building in the Proud Heritage Clothing Campus called for a naturally ventilated, well-lit, humane and inspiring place of work. The building includes a design studio, a staff and visitor diner, reception spaces, management offices, ablutions and warehousing. With the plan dictated by logistical considerations, the predominant expression was derived through a modulation of the cross-section from east to west, inspired by 1980’s music videos as reinterpreted by Kylie Minogue in "Can't Get You Out of My Head", and "Love at First Sight", directed by Dawn Shadforth.
