prototype 180 is a conceptual process that will make architecture perform as an aggregate work of art. Ten years in the making,
it will be physically realized in a subdivision of Houston, Texas, on October 8, 2010. The catalytic action for prototype 180
will be the 180-degree permanent rotation of a single family home and its surrounding acreage on its central axis by structural
movers and engineers. Once the rotation is complete, the structure will be retrofitted with dynamic building systems and reprogrammed
architecturally. prototype 180 will be shifting not only the house but its operational systems as well, in expectation of
discovering new, more innovative and sustainable ways of managing sewage, heating and cooling, and providing water to the
