Manipulability!
This is the criterion, sometimes underestimated, from which starts this idea of design exhibition.
Interacting with an object, manipulate it, it's what gratifies us more.
In this case we should show 45 projects of young Italian designers through a "low definition object" able to be manipulated to be more interesting and much more involving than a simple exhibition panel.
So, an object able to engage the viewer by virtue of its nature less "explicit", prompting him to act, opening it.
With his strange opening manner, the object, triggers a cascade of associative memory and alludes to a collective imaginery.
Its use implies gestures already known, like the typical movement of the rotary phone, but also takes its references from a futuristic imaginery inspired by science-fiction movies iconography.
The project, however, should also be economical, lightweight, strong to support the exhibition's traveling nature, easily transportable and quick to set inside any kind of space, open or closed, on ground supports or hanged at a wall.
From these requirements comes the choice of materials, unusual and very light, normally used for the packaging but not devoid of aesthetic qualities and which, in this case, become elements able to be put on display.
