Post-earthquake reconstruction project, promoted by the Protezione Civile, created with load-bearing structure in prefabricated panels of plywood and ecological materials. The easy assembly of the panels, together with innovative building-site management, permitted creation of the six buildings omprising the project in only 78 days. The special construction technology in XiLAM wood panels was studied in the finest executive details in order to eliminate thermal bridges and obtain low transmittances.The results were surprising in terms of energy performance and concretely produced achievement of energy class “A” of the Casaclima-Bolzano protocol (consumption estimated in 30 KW sqm/year). The project, of which the construction is already completed, is characterized by excellent living conditions, savings in running costs, flexibility of proposed dwelling solutions and, obviously, rapidity of execution.
