This private residence is set within a scenic private golf club in Thornhill, small town north of Toronto. While working closely with the architect, the landscape concept is an extension of the building design. Taking the clearly delineated horizontal layout that define different thresholds of the building, the landscape become several layers of spaces one will experience through an arrival sequence from a welcoming entrance to the extension of living space into the rear garden and beyond. The landscape thresholds are defined by change of material and landscape walls that fit seamlessly into the design and natural topography.
