This gallery space on Broadway was designed for a New York’s premier art dealer. Conceptually the space was designed to serve as a "back-drop"- a "white canvas" for the art rather than being itself the main focus of attention. The complete absence of colors on all two-dimensional surfaces in the main gallery space allows the paintings to take center stage. Only in the third dimension the architecture becomes expressive; walls are cut and shift, display shelves meander and large pivot doors open to discover unexpected splashes of color.
