A submission for a PrimitiveHut design competition. Our year group was asked to design in align with an idea for our thesis. My idea was for a temporary study carrel outside the Mitchell Library in Glasgow. It would be clad in untreated books which would block out the light of a glass box underneath for a short while. As the books deteriorated with weather and outdoor conditions the modern box would become more visible. I intended this to highlight the changing use of learning within the city.
