A Living Space Transforming User Habits Through Design Value
Developed as part of the Prime Tower Maslak project, the 445 m² six-room duplex show apartment was conceived with a design approach that goes beyond meeting the expectations of contemporary life, enabling a transformation in user habits. The Gonye Design team envisioned the space as more than an aesthetic surface; they treated it as an experience that facilitates daily life and encourages more organized and sustainable routines.
This perspective guided the entire design process, from planning decisions to color selection. While ensuring a seamless flow between spaces, the design also aimed to allow natural light to enter evenly throughout. The choice of light beige as the main color, supported by complementary tones in different areas, created an atmosphere that is both balanced and dynamic across the apartment.
The kitchen stands out as one of the strongest examples of this transformation. The concept of a spacious kitchen, a deeply rooted habit in Turkish family culture, was reinterpreted through contemporary living scenarios. In addition to the dining room, a large dining table was placed within the kitchen itself, extending its role beyond food preparation to become a social gathering point. A second sink integrated into the island counter separated preparation and dishwashing processes, enhancing functionality and bringing the kitchen into a new order suited to modern needs. Further details such as a coffee corner and wine storage added practicality and variety to daily rituals.
In the living room and other common areas, material selections were made with great care. Custom-designed furniture incorporating wood surfaces, natural stone textures, and bronze details became defining elements of the space. This holistic approach, enriched with decorative lighting and artworks, considered aesthetics and functionality together.
The same perspective was sustained in the apartment’s private areas. The master suite offers a high level of comfort with separate dressing areas for partners and a bathroom opening to the view, while the children’s room was designed to support development with features such as a climbing wall and drawing surface, taking advantage of the high ceiling.
As a result, the Prime Tower Maslak show apartment has been envisioned as a living space that bridges and transforms traditional habits with contemporary needs. Centering the user experience, this approach brings functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability together in every detail of the space.
