Paul McAneary Architects are delighted to announce that Planning Permission has been granted by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for their new build, understated, warm minimalist, eco project, entitled “Post-Aircon House.”
PMA are currently designing this new build building for construction, including bespoke frameless glazing facade details and a material palette that relates to its immediate context.
Located in Notting Hill, London, this contemporary, exemplary eco-design
won a long planning battle to justify the use of Facade Ventilator panels in residential architecture, avoiding air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation.
The significance in ventilation is possible throughout in-climate weather, without reducing security or loss of privacy, or causing disturbance by noise. PMA amassed a vast volume of research and calculation to justify why there is not quantifiable need for air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation through their cross ventilation by design.
