High end kitchen equipment, a seating area around the fireplace, TV and stereo equipment, dining space, a full bathroom and an exterior shower to wash off the sunscreen before swimming. The biggest design challenge in this project was hiding hurricane shutters in the roof structure that close each opening. Doors in the ceiling and channels in the columns were necessary to make this possible, not to mention securing the roof and the mechanical units. Each component, from the TV to the hurricane shutters, can be remotely controlled by the owner’s phone. All the comforts of home, right next to the pool.
