The project consists on a strong built axis
containing residential buildings on one end and a small marina on the other,
this concept defines the approach for situating this residential & tourism
resort on a small cliff overlooking the beautiful San Roque Lake. The project
integrates the two elements, separated by a 20m high cliff and a public road,
through a bridge full of services for the resort and the community, making it a
unified and distinctive landmark development.
A balance
between the negotiation and mitigation of a severe topography, integration into
a non built context, and an attempt to preserve the natural beauty of a virgin
site was sought to inform the building’s sitting/orientation and
formal/material description.
