In partnership with the owners of the office tower, Telus updated its offices at 630 René-Lévesque West, which it first opened in 2003. The major facelift involved the lobby and plaza, and was done in compliance with Héritage Montréal preservation guidelines. The Ædifica team restored the mullions on the building’s facade and refreshed the overall look with clean and simple lines. A curtain wall of ultra-clear glass and a fine white metallic awning now adorn the exterior, complemented by new, black granite heated flooring. A vertical garden creates a proudly organic focal point in the lobby as it blends with natural noble materials, from light wood veneer to white terrazzo flooring, to reflect the natural light and LED illumination. The project was phased in over a two-year period in order to keep the main entrance open throughout. The renovation work on the elevators was completed in spring 2016.
