noiz has developed a design system based on combined use of Grasshopper and Processing, which allow you to set a 3D boundary as a chair shape, and grid density as pipe structure, more freely and randomly. Each time you set a boundary shape (it could be simply a cube or sphere, or more complicated form as far as it is closed surface, and allow each grid point inside can be all connected). Subsystem also allow you to set certain structural strength/bounciness in certain area, which works as defining supporting area and cushion area for chair/stool design. noiz is currently developing a furniture product which allow you to choose overall shape and pattern when purchasing - production-on-demand furniture.
