The new Pioneer Cellular Events Center on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University allows the university to host large community events. The center is home to the university’s basketball and volleyball teams and can also be used for trade shows, concerts, and conferences. There is a VIP event room that overlooks the basketball court and running track. The facility is designed to accommodate 3,500 people during athletic events and about 4,000 during concerts.
Jaffe Holden recommended an audio system that would provide even sound distribution to all seats in the arena. We specifically chose speakers that allow players to hear music playback and announcements while on the court.
Video monitors have been installed to display live video content and score information from the scoreboard in the arena to the lobby. Camera positions were located for broadcast within the campus as well as interfacing with outside broadcast companies. Infrastructure was provided so that the university provide support for touring acts and generate additional revenue.
