This is a 50 room hotel designed to serve mainly young foreign travelers.
To achieve the concept of an "interactive style" hotel, keeping the size of the guest rooms to a minimum allowed us to reserve shared space of the same scale as the lodging space, and we expected this to stimulate interaction and information exchange between travelers.
Also, as a proposed structure for a site which is certainly not large for a hotel, we used a frame structure for the first floor, and a wall structure for the 2nd to 4th floors, thereby successfully
combining the first floor's open shared space with the compact guest room area where no pilasters appear from the 2nd floor up.
