This project involved the design and construction of a new commercial condominium space for deli and retail use. Picnic’s plan called for shopping and sit-down eating. BUILD designed surfaces to be durable, modern and warm, while the existing shell and exposed buidling systems were left largely untreated and refinished as texture. Display of products and foods became an important aesthetic factor with the interiors. Color and graphics were used to compliment the owners’ cooking and wine pairing skills.
