"Picardie"
This building is emblematic of 17th-century shop houses, standing 48 feet (approximately 15 m) tall. It bears witness to the successive transformations of the 18th and 19th centuries, such as the replacement of tile roofs with zinc and the disappearance of the original masonry spandrels.
Located in the protected area of the Marais, the building is remarkable for its interior layout, including a staircase, floors, and a 17th-century roof structure.
In this context, the successive transformations of the building have been preserved and the facades restored to a fresh plaster tone. The gable has been insulated from the outside (ITE) with a lime-cork coating compatible with the old building.
