This house, designed with a spiral shape plan, is intended for playing the piano. The site is 23 feet wide and 49 feet deep, located in a quiet residential area. The spaces are created by rotating the house 10 degrees against the site, bringing about a soundproof effect as a buffer zone for the surrounding area.
The spiral-shaped wall is extended to the inside, so you can feel the continuity of internal and external space through the wall. An acoustic and sound insulation layer was designed by combining general-purpose materials, so that the soundproof chamber can have an acoustic and echo function with a low budget. A sound wave can reach ears through air encircled within the spiral-shaped wall. This wall, extending to the inside, is customizable for adjusting the piano's sound, by bringing about changes in the sound environment.
