Imagine a building like a ship, sailing time. Then you will need a bridge from where to command this ship.
This existing building, located in Outremont, was like an old ship moored on a forgotten dock. The new owner had two requirements: a big multipurpose area with a small office, and the space to be opened as much as possible. The project intention was to bring out the original attributes of the building, both in terms of shape and materials. All new elements and materials are supposed to complement and support the existing. The ground floor was cleared, the open space highlighting the rhythmic play of the big windows. The office is located on the now opened mezzanine, a strong horizontal, the bridge of this rescued ship.
