Designed exclusively for Arcos -the leading cutlery company in Spain-, Petra consolidates the brand´s commitment to innovative design.
This knife sheath is a timeless piece resulting from the combination of two natural materials; elemental forms seamlessly connected. Stone and wood come together to create a set designed to protect and display the knives in our homes, with a blend of simplicity and delicacy.
While the stone base -tectonic, heavy, and hard- provides support and stability to the ensemble, the wood -more subtle, light, and gentle- is what comes into contact with the hand and shields us from the cutting blades.
The knife´s protection (a central aspect of the piece) is entrusted to the sheaths. Meanwhile, the stone base supports and organizes them to create a smoother and more pleasant transition between the sheaths and the workbenches.
Its production carries a marked handcrafted and local approach. Both the stone and the wood, extracted from national quarries and forests, are carved and worked by stonemasons and carpenters to create a unique object capable of adding sophistication to everyday spaces.
