This campus-wide artspace creates a new dimension for the Joslyn Art Museum's magnificent architecture and collections with its external green spaces, providing open area for events, programs, educational opportunities and musical performances. The sculpture garden extends the galleries of the museum beyond its walls to display its significant sculpture collection within a landscaped enclave surrounded by a busy city. Maintaining the orthogonal organization of the museum's interior spaces, the garden extends axis established by the pavilion in a verde granite and greenery. Design elements of landscape, active water features and stone walls bring art, nature, and people together in an exterior setting while respecting the integrity of the museum’s architecture.Photo courtesy of HDR Architecture, Inc.; © Tom Kessler Photography
