I began this project by studying perspective through line and shadow in the creation of a space for the Arts at Princeton University. The idea began with the negations between distortion forcing dramatic perspective and the gradation between building scale on the site. Through my site research two systems came to light; one to the scale of pedestrian, and other to the car. Based on the drawing, I created moments of expansion and contraction reacting to both the site and the system of flow through the site. Through this I created a three areas for public space and three buildings to house the program. As one moves through the site, the buildings change from small independent buildings, connected with exterior circulation to one building with hollowed out interior circulation, to make small intimate spaces amongthe large program requirements.
